A Boy and his Dogs | Downers Grove photographer, Naperville photographer

I  hadn’t seen Parker since he was one – a whole year ago.  Now at two, he is really a little boy – looking just like his daddy.  When I first started photographing this family when Parker was a newborn, they had three golden retrievers.  But at his one year pictures, their oldest had passed away.  But now a year later, the pale golden, Mac, has basically adopted them and claimed them as his family.  It was meant to be.  Mac and Parker are bonded, so not only was this Parker’s two year pictures, but also an official welcome to their newest family member.

Now – getting a two year old AND three dogs to do what you want?  Yeah, this was an interesting session. lol  We also faced another challenge.  Parker was very attached to his football.  So what do you do when a toddler doesn’t want to let go of a toy?  You either just let them hold it or take the picture with the ball and then take it away, snap the picture of him crying – just to get the body to do a head swap.  LOL
