A Family Affair | Wheaton Chicago Baby Photographer, Naperville Photographer

Little Evan here is a special boy.  Not only does he have two loving parents, but he has also been raised by his grandparents, as well.  His grandparents have lived with him and his parents, loving him, taking care of him.  And on the day we had our session, it was the last day before his grandfather went back to China.  They wanted to be sure to memorialize the family, the entire family, before he left.  It was obvious that this baby adores his grandparents, and that they are nuts for him.  Speaking of nuts, they totally cracked me up in the last picture, as they were doing crazy dances to get the baby to smile, though what they really did was get me the best smiles from dad as he laughed at them.

Little Evan is a very shy baby, and knowing his personality, I met with him, mom, and grandma prior to the session for a good 30 minutes to let him warm up to me. Had we not done that, we would have had a lot of tears, so it was a great strategy.  And knowing he was very shy, I made sure not to approach him, but directed the family to act as my assistants, so he wasn’t scared by me.

Safe travels to the grandpa, and I hope the rest of the family can keep him close through these pictures.
