Adventuring | Naperville Photographer, Wheaton Photographer, Downers Grove Photographer
I grew up adventuring in this Naperville park, taking my dogs on the unpaved trails through the woods and pretending we were the first to walk there, catching crayfish in the river with my brother, trying to be brave enough to cross over to the mysterious island. This place was always magical to me, so when I talked with this client about the type of session she wanted, I knew this place would be perfect. While they wanted some good family pictures, she also loved the idea of capturing her kids adventuring – something real. I love when a client is completely open to whatever I suggest.
Thanks for a great day!
Ok, so the last time I was here, I noticed a little makeshift bridge deep in the woods, but I couldn’t figure out how to actually get there. I pointed it out to the family, and they were all for it. I took the kids, and we adventured, trying to find a way to the bridge. There was absolutely no path, so it was there for a long time, and I’m not sure why it was there, either, but it was so cool with the most amazing natural spot light effect with the sun hitting a small area of the bridge, while the rest was very dark. The kids seriously were troopers, pushing through thorns and weeds in order to get there while I stood in a muddy ravine. But it was worth it! There was a fallen tree right in front of the plan bridge.
And who doesn’t like to end a day with some laughter?
