Special Siblings | Special Needs Photographer, Chicago special needs photographer
We had our first Special Sibling Day where we celebrated families with special needs children and the relationships between siblings in such families. It was an awesome day. Not only did I get to photograph some wonderful special needs children, but it apparently was also my multiples day – a set of triplets and two sets of twins!
These brothers were so goofy and funny. The older brother has Autism. I had to bring out my lint brush to remove my shedding white rug, and the little guy would just crack up with the biggest belly laughs. I wish I had video.
These next brothers I have photographed before. Big brother, Georgie, also has Autism, and he has changed so much over the years, going from completely non-verbal without being able to follow any directions to a wonderful subject and big brother.
These crazy triplets were a ball of energy, constantly running, jumping, wrestling. I can’t image what their house was like when they were two! LOL Their gorgeous blonde boy also has Autism. And man, did they like jumping on the bed!
Now these twins both have special needs. The girl has Autism and the brother has global delays. She felt like a princess and was so happy to have her pictures taken.
Lastly we have an older brother with his twin brothers, both of whom are Autistic. There was a time when I honestly thought we weren’t going to get anything out of them as they basically just ran, but man, a switch happened, and we got some magic.
