Did you see the new CDC release about the increase of Autism?  The latest data shows that 1 in 88 American children are on the Autism spectrum.  If it doesn’t effect your family, it does effect someone you know, a classmate of your child, a neighbor.  With some children, you might not ever know that they have Autism, and with others is it obvious.  With the rise and attention that Autism receives, I am so honored to be able to photograph these amazing  children.

Ten year old, Dominic, has Autism.  I was warned that he runs away, may not follow directions, is mostly non-verbal, and would be a challenge.  But this day turned out to be one of the best days he’s had.  His younger brother was my perfect assistant.  Dominic obviously loved his brother, loved to hug him or nuzzle him, and when he would ask Dominic to follow, he would.  Dominic also had a great day following directions.  He was a joy, a beautiful boy who I’m happy to introduce to you all.
