Seven | Naperville Photographer, Naperville children's photographer

I finally got around to editing my son’s seven year pictures. He continues to be extremely hard to photograph with a natural expression WITH eye contact. Even with Asperger’s, he looks me in the eye most of the time when he is talking, but as soon as I bring out the camera, his eyes dart all around. He knows all my tricks, and while getting him to laugh was always my best bet, he has learned I want him to laugh, and now does a really fake laugh that makes him look like he is in pain. LOL So that trick it out. Thankfully, I had his little sister in tow, and she did some silly dancing to get him to laugh.

I can’t believe it has been seven years since I became a mother, seven years since my heart grew more than I ever imagined. He is still the light of my life. My boy.

He was getting frustrated here because he could tell he wasn’t doing what I wanted but couldn’t figure it out. I flashed him the “I love you” hand sign, which we always do to each other. So he flashed it back. We say I love you many times every day, sometimes with words, sometimes with signs, but it is always known.
