Parents usually want the “standard” pictures – their kids looking at the camera and smiling.  Nothing is wrong with that, but I love when I can stretch my artistic side and capture real emotions and moods, to create art.  I love moods, especially the quieter moments and emotions in children.  To me, there is something innately more interesting with a moody image.

Eight-year old Austin here was a good trooper, but he had no mind to have his picture taken, even though he is a great kid.  “Promise me some Pokeman cards, and you got yourself a deal,” he said.  LOL  Now before you think he was really this angry – he wasn’t.  I asked him to be like this. I think he deserves those Pokeman cards for putting up with incredible heat and humidity.  I had rivers of sweat going on.  It was not pleasant, but well worth it.
