Naperville Photographer | Child Models | Chicago Commerial Photographer

While I have already had a great interest from parents wanting their children to be available as models for my commercial work, it turns out I need MORE.  At least through the end of this year, I will be needing 5-15 models per month for a high-end, organic children’s toy and clothing company.  I am thrilled to have been hired as their photographer.  Hopefully this will continue into next year, as well.  I will be taking 1-3 pictures for each product with children in every picture.  In order to provide a variety, I do not want to keep using the same children over and over.

If you are interested in having your child (ages 0-6) model for these sessions, please send me a snapshot (preferably head shot) of your child with their name, age, and clothing size to megan@fireflynightsphotography.com

Models will NOT be paid.  However, you will receive the high-resolution electronic images as compensation ($125 value per image).

 

Things you should know:

1) I am going to try to do these shoots on a monthly basis in a single day (maybe two). This means, I don’t really want to travel.  I mostly want very local people (Naperville, Aurora, Plainfield).  HOWEVER, if you live elsewhere, I am willing to consider you child if a) you will come to me; or b) you get enough children in your own area that are approved by me in order to do a full day in a single location in your town (at least 5 children required).

2) This is commercial work, which means all models will be signing commercial model releases.  You will have not have any rights to these images, and the company and myself may use them for our own purposes. However, these are exclusive images for this particular company, which means I cannot resell them to other commercial clients.

3) Just because you submit your child does not guarantee I will use them.  I will be selecting the models depending on the products I’m given every month to best suit the company’s current need.

4) Want to help ensure I do pick your child?  Well, I will tell you that I am going to be playing favorites.  I openly admit this.  There are two main factors on whom will go to the top of my list (besides cuteness) :

• Location.  The closer you are to me, the more likely I will use you just because of simplicity.
• Clients.  I am much more likely to use children whom I’ve been hired in the past to photograph.  Why?  Because this is a business, and in the end, I want families hiring me as their photographer.  Do you have to hire me in order for your child to be chosen?  No, certainly not!  But, priority will be given to paying clients, so want to boost your chances for your child to be a model for a national company, then book a session. LOL

5) If chosen to model with a toy, you will be responsible for clothing your child. However, styling and final clothing decisions will be made by me.  (Be prepared to walk through your child’s closet or even go shopping).
