Generations | Chicago – Naperville Children's Photographer

While my memory tends to be a lot like swiss cheese, I think they may have been my first multi-generational session.  These adorable twins turned two the day before our session and had both sets of grandparents in town to celebrate.  Granted, one set actually lives with them, but it still was a big occasion. Usually I talk about how good the kids were, but I must say the grown ups were really great to work with.  I called out their assigned terms (like “Iowa”), and they hopped into the scene like pros.

In the beginning, the boys weren’t too sure about me.  They did like the Smarties, though.  Soon enough, I got one giggling and smiling.  But the other just wanted none of it.  I was worried I was going to go through an entire shoot without a smile from him, but at the end, he dropped a leaf while being held by his mom, and I dramatically screamed, “nooooo!”  To which he dropped some more to watch my reaction, which was again pained with horror – much to his delight. lol

The whole family was so fun and personable, and I’m so glad these boys had a fun time with me.  In fact, I just came from their house after showing them their full gallery, and they were all smiles and giggles and even asked me to pick them up!
