When I first talked with this client, we agreed to meet at Wilder Park in Elmhurst near their home, but as I left my house, it was raining. I called her, and she assured me that it was sunny in Elmhurst. Well guess what? By the time I got there, lightening was going off everywhere, and the skies opened. I was ready to reschedule, but they weren’t so easily swayed. Instead, we went to their home for an impromptu photo session. I’m impressed that their home was ready for pictures (if it were my home, that would not be the case!).
I loved hanging out with these kids. Collin has Asperger’s Syndrome, and he reminded me a lot of my own son – very friendly and beautiful. He had a seriousness beyond his years. His little sister and he are just beginning to learn the piano, so we had a bit of a jam session.
But really the kids wanted me to see their bedrooms. Collin told me he wanted to be on his bed where he likes to relax.
But Miss Regan’s room was ALL GIRL! Seriously, couldn’t she be in Pottery Barn Kids or something?
It was a lot of fun to do some different things and am so happy we didn’t reschedule.
