Naperville Senior Photographer

Being a Naperville senior photographer, I see all sort of seniors.  I would say more girls than boys tend to have senior sessions, but within that group of girls, each session is different, because each girl is different.  Some want dramatic and totally original. Some want to really showcase their special interest.  Some want simple.  There is no right or wrong in these conversations, as my goal is to provide pictures that my clients want, so I do my best to have the images reflect them and their own personalities.  For this Naperville Central High School senior, I was thrilled to get another swimmer and water polo player.  But unlike most of my athletes, she didn’t want the more edgy and artistic version, just a little more simple.  I said that is fine, but I’m still going to do edgy lighting. LOL  Since she does two sports, we wanted to do something to reflect both.  It helps that she’s in a swim suit for both, though different suits.

But athlete pictures are only a small portion of the session.  We enjoyed going around downtown Naperville for the first part of our session on this beautiful day.

While this senior wanted to keep things simple, I told her we can do that and still get gorgeous pictures.  It’s important to have a variety of expressions as well as poses, and I love this serious one of her.

I also love the rough texture in contrast to her.

Then we had an outfit and location change for something more feminine and softer – a field and big, blue skies.

I love a white or ivory colored dress in a field.  It is always my color of choice in this sort of location.
