Chicago Head Shot Photographer, Naperville Headshots

Firefly Nights Photography is an award winning portrait photographer.  While we are mostly known for our children and family photography, we also provide commercial work.  This includes professional headshots.  I never know if it is supposed to be headshots or head shots, so there you go! LOL  I’ve had three people in a row needing professional headshots for various purposes, so I’ve lumped them together into one blog post.  Headshots are a different category than the rest of our photography.  We charge a flat $200 and provide three edited, high-resolution images to the client.

I had two red heads in a row! What are the odds of that happening?  First up was a woman needing professional pictures for her company’s website.  She was hoping to convince her partner after seeing these that it is important to have professional pictures.  And even though I am a photographer, I do have to say, when I am looking at websites and there are staff profiles, I do make judgements based on pictures.  Your professional image DOES matter.

 

Next up was my second red head, a lawyer.  Again, she needed a nice professional picture for her company’s website.  I do tend to use a dark grey background for corporate headshots, depending on the industry.

 

Next up was something different.  We have a tween girl who needed agency headshots for modeling and dancing.  Now, with models and actors, I get to be a little more creative, and we get leeway to do the headshots horizontally as opposed to vertical.  I love them this way.  Also new is this lighting setup.  The new equipment had just come in, so she is the first for me to try it out on, and this sort of headshot is perfect for it!  It really illuminates the eyes.

 

Her mom thought she also needed to have one with a plain white background, so we also did that.
